Registration
Q. How do I register to use BidaCar?
A. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Click the “REGISTER” link at the top of the BidaCar home page.
2. You’ll be asked to provide your basic contact information. Your contact information will be kept private on BidaCar secure servers.
3. Check your email and text messages- BidaCar will send you a message with a linke and instructions for confirming your registration.
4. For security purposes, you’ll choose your own User ID and password for signing in to BidaCar.

Login
Q. How do I sign in to BidaCar?
A. It’s simple; just follow these steps:

1. Click the “LOGIN” link at the top of the BidaCar home page.
2. On the login page, type in your User Name and Password. If you forgot your password, click on the “Forgot your password?” link under the Password entry field.
3. Enter the Turing code in the bottom  text box. A Turing Code is a graphic representation of letters and numbers that prevents spammers from automatically logging in to BidaCar.
4. Click the “Sign In” button.

Selling
Q. How do I sell an item?
A. Here are the basics of listing an item for sale, as well as some helpful tips and demonstrations.

1. Prepare - Make sure you are able to supply all information that is requested in the Condition and Fact Sheet. Do some research on BidaCar to get an idea of your item's potential value and best category placement. Search for items similar to yours to find out what other seller's starting prices and categories were. For help on searching, go to the searching section of this FAQ or Watch a demonstration on how to search!
2. List your item - Click the “Sell” button in the navigation bar at the top of any BidaCar page. BidaCar will take you through the process of listing your item step-by-step, including helping you find the correct category for your item. Give a good description for your item and upload several pictures of it to assist potential buyers. Watch a demonstration on how to list an item!
3. Set your price - There are several options for setting a price for your item. You can:
1. Set a starting price and allow buyers to place bids, as in an auction
2. Offer a fixed price that you'll accept using the “Buy It Now” feature
3. Use both the auction style and the “Buy It Now” feature
4. Get paid - When your listing ends, contact your winning buyer through email or by generating a BidaCar invoice within three business days. Let your buyer know the total price of the item, including your stated shipping costs, and how they can pay you.
5. Ship the item - After payment is received, send the item to the buyer's shipping address that they specified with their payment or by email.
6. Leave feedback - After your successful sale, leave feedback for your buyer, and ask that they do the same.

Searching
Q. How do I search for items?
A. Searching for items is quick, easy, and can be done from any page on the BidaCar website! There are several options for setting a price for your item. You can:

1. Type in a keyword in the upper right search box of any page and then click the “Search” button.
2. Click the “Advanced Search” link at the top right corner of any page. Enter the desired search criteria and then click the “Search” button. Watch a demonstration on using the “Advanced Search”!
3. Browse vehicle listings by clicking the “Auctions” or “Autos Wanted” buttons in the navigation bar at the top of the BidaCar website.

Bidding/Purchasing
Q. How do I buy an item?
A. Here are the basics of bidding and buying, as well as some helpful tips and demonstrations.

1. Find an item - Search by keyword, or browse through the categories. For help and demonstrations see our searching section of the FAQ
2. Learn about the item you found - Read the item description carefully, and look at the pictures that the seller has included. If you have any questions about the item that aren't answered in the item's description, you can ask the seller about the item by clicking on the 'Ask Seller a Question' link. Watch a demonstration on how to ask the seller a question! Carefully reading all the information and asking informed questions will help you determine if this is the item you want!
3. Review the seller’s feedback - You can see the seller's feedback score and percentage of positive feedback right on the item page. Also, be sure and read the comments left by the seller's previous buyers to be sure that this is a seller you feel you can trust.
4. Bid or “Buy It Now” - Once you've found the item you want, you can place a bid or purchase the item instantly using Buy It Now. Some items are sold only in auction-style listings that require you to place a bid, while others include the “Buy It Now” option. This allows you to buy the item instantly. Check the item page to see what purchase options are available to you.
5. Pay for the item - After you've won or purchased the item, send your payment to the seller. Just check the seller's listing or email invoice to find out what the preferred payment method is and where you should send your payment.
6. Leave feedback - Here's your chance to tell the BidaCar community about your experience with this seller. You can leave feedback for any BidaCar member you've bought from or sold to. Please leave constructive comments only.

Autos Wanted
Q. Is there a wanted section?
A. Yes. Simply click the “Autos Wanted” button in the navigation bar at the top of the website. There you can post your wanted autos, and view other member’s wanted autos.

Profile
Q. Where is my profile and what information does it show me?
A. Just click the “Profile” button in the navigation to reach your profile. There you can find data on all buying and selling of vehicles on your account, as well as alerts, messages, and settings for which vehicles you want to receive text message alerts on.

Text Message Alerts
Q. How do I set up and receive text message alerts for vehicles?
A. Go to your profile page, and in the left link column at the bottom, click “My Makes” under the Text Alerts header. Then simply check and uncheck the various makes to adjust your alert preferences. You will recieve sms auction notices for all makes that are checked in the form. Click the “Save Preferences” button, and you’re done!
